What is Tawila Island?
Tawila Island is an uninhabited island in the Red Sea, just off the coast of El Gouna, surrounded by one of the biggest shallow lagoons in Egypt. The water is waist-deep, turquoise and butter-flat, with a soft sandy bottom and almost no obstacles — which is why kiters call it one of the best spots in the Red Sea.
Away from the crowds, you get empty sandbanks, steady wind and space to ride freely — perfect whether you're taking your first lessons, practicing new tricks, or just want a full day on the water.
